1932 Ford Deuce "Striking Gold"
This is a timeless, Hollywood-Inspired, Hot Rod, hand built in Southern California, with extreme attention to detail by Art Engle with all the right ingredients for a mid-60's themed mod custom classic car.
This Deuce has won numerous awards on the West and East coasts since its completion in 2013. It has been featured in magazines and promotions and turns heads, demands smiles as it gets all the attention everywhere it goes.
Steel '32 Grill and surround hiding Griffin radiator. Harwood 2” stretched body, flawlessly finished by Ryan Kayler of RJ's body in Pleasanton, California in House of Kolor Solar Flop Gold and custom hand pinstriped, by Dave Wyeth, in Rhinebeck, NY on the rear, headlamps, grill and dash. Body has been lined in full Dynamat insulation, front to rear and is rock solid. Sid Chavers white pearl vinyl BopTop. Hinges and handles are shaved with 2″ Chopped windshield. '39 Ford Taillights and Harley Davidson Guide style front turn signals. Custom Black pearl metallic front and rear spreader bars.
Boxed frame from LRS of Mt. Vernon, Missouri. The rails feature a sweeping “C” to lower the body. So Cal chrome front end with Buick finned “Big Brake”' polished drum/disc covers, over Wilwood disk brakes. Johnson 9-inch rear with 3.25 posi and 32 spline axles riding on Pete and Jakes adjustable coil-overs. Saginaw 4-Speed transmission with a factory '66 Chevelle Hurst shifter with Reverse Lock Out. Auto lamp MFG 430 Headlights and '32 Ford Taillights. Optima Red Top battery and a Tanks 10-gallon saddle tank. 15″ Rocket Strike polished wheels with Spinners wrapped in Firestone Deluxe Champion 4” wide white wall tires, 5.60-15 front, 8.20 X15 rear.
1965 283 cu in. Chevrolet, bored .030 over with Power Pack double hump heads featuring 1.7 roller rockers, custom grind Isky mild cam, Mallory ignition, Twin tuned Edelbrock ASB 500 Performer carburetors on a '62 Corvette Winters Foundry dual four barrel aluminum intake manifold and Moon finned valve covers. Chrome Patriot headers with caps, bolt on Turnouts, flow down to, piped through Nickel plated Magnaflow Exhaust.
Painless Wiring Harness with Stewart Warner Wings gauges and Dixco '60's vintage tach. Moon custom white 4-hole steering wheel, Goolsby pedals, Lokar throttle, Chrome turn signal stalk and Chrome Parking brake. Glide seat with hand-stitched white diamond–pleat marine vinyl interior and GM ivy gold carpet and custom mats.
Strong money and time has been invested to create this timeless street rod. Located in a temperature controlled private garage in Saratoga Springs, NY. From top to bottom, this deuce is an exceptional condition. Never raced, never driven in rain or any bad weather and it has been well maintained, covered and cared for.
