Cobra
If you're looking for an opportunity to own a true Cobra collector car, this is the one CSX 8972. It's a modern day time capsule - Shelby American built fifty, 50th Anniversary, CSX8000 series, Shelby Cobra to commemorate the original AC Cobra. These cars were unveiled at a Barrett Jackson auction in 2011 and the entire production run sold out within a scant 48 hours. They were sold as a rolling chassis with either a fiberglass body or with an optional and very expensive all-aluminum body. Only 50 of these cars were ever built starting with serial number 8950 and ending at 8999. This Cobra is in virtually showroom new condition and looking brand-new throughout. Like all of Shelby American's 50th Anniversary models, it is painted black, just like the original, an amazing non-metallic, solid jet black with a deep finish, polished to show finish. The interior features bucket seats covered with premium red leather, Simpson lap belts and matching red leather trimmed interior door panels and Wilton wool carpets. A full set of Stewart Warner instruments compliment the dash and a wood rimmed steering wheel rounds out the original feeling interior. This molded fiberglass car features riveted aluminum panels inside the trunk, hood compartment and on the underside of the car, all supported by a Shelby 3 inch tubular steel frame. Powered by a period correct 289 Hi-Po small block V8 engine, with dual stainless full length exhaust and complimented with Shelby Ribbed Valve covers. The transmission is a period correct 4-Speed manual transmission with proper shifter, and is connected to a Dana 44 posi-trac rear end. This car also features Shelby 4-wheel disc brakes and brilliant chrome, 72-spoke, knock-off wheels with black wall 205/65R/15 sport tires. The small details that add to this cars uniqueness are the Authentic 50th Shelby badging and emblems, custom embroidered floor mats and fitted Cobra trunk liner, chrome bumpers on front and rear with authentic chrome grill, chrome plated hood and trunk handles, all of which are in as-new showroom condition. Please contact Lamborghini Paramus for complete details, you really want to see this one!
A very rare and unique piece a Shelby American history. A wonderful addition to anyone's Shelby collection and ready to be enjoyed by the next caretaker.
