Austin-Healey
3000
This Austin Healey is one of 2,825 BN7s built between 1960 and 1962. It underwent a full ground-up restoration that was completed five years ago. Since that time, it has been used strictly at club events on the West coast. The 2,912cc engine was rebuilt and upgraded with larger 2" carburetors, as used on the MK111 BJ8s and E-type Jaguars. A racing-style header exhaust system was added for better performance. Backing the engine is a modern 5-speed synchronized manual transmission. Additional upgrades include a steel 6-blade radiator fan for better cooling, spin-off oil filter, alternator, gear reduction starter, and Bilstein tube shocks on the front. Racing style louvers were installed in the front fenders to reduce engine compartment heat and are similar to those used on Healey Works racing and rally cars. All of the chrome is either new or re-chromed. The chrome wheels, tires, top and tonneau are all new. *BMIHT Certificate Available
