1965 Oldsmobile Starfire 2 dr. Sport Coupe 425 cid /370 hp 4bbl. Gifted by Oldsmobile through (Ptyor Oldsmobile, Memphis TN) to Tim McCarver, St. Louis Cardinals catcher, who hit the game winning home run in the 10th inning of the 5th game of the 1964 World Series which they won over the NY Yankees. Documentation includes Protect-O-Plate with Tim McCarver's name on it and the Oldsmobile build sheet. This is a heavily optioned rust free automobile. Purchased by a prominent Memphis family in 1966 and kept until his death in 2013. Meticulously maintained with Bill of sale to second owner, numerous maintenance records and receipts from the past 50 years. Documentation fills a 4 inch thick three ring binder which comes with the car.
Engine and transmission rebuilt. New interior, headliner, carpet with correct stainless foot well inserts. Restored center console and tachometer. Restored pot metal. Many NOS parts installed such as front headlight bezels, rear taillight bezels, rocket insets and fender insignias. This is an excellent running and driving car with great provenance.
