“The Parting Gift” by R. W. Crompton is a rare example of an original Oleograph. An Oleograph is a a chromolithograph printed in oil colors to imitate the appearance of an oil painting This is an original advertisement from 1912 for the Bernheim Distillery Company that produced I.W. Harper Whiskey. An identical piece has appeared in the comprehensive book entitled 'The Motor Car in Art' by John J. Zolomij. This beautiful Oleograph has been privately held for nearly two decades and measures 28” x 40” – the perfect addition to any collection.
