The Who - Tommy Rock Opera Poster
The Who came to the Fillmore East for six glorious nights in October and performed their rock
opera, Tommy, in full for the first time in the United States. Bill Graham gave Joshua White and
his team $5000 from the profits of the already sold-out concerts to develop a spectacular light
show to accompany the debut. Art by famous rock poster artist and commercial illustrator
David Edward Byrd. The 1st printing poster was printed before the concert and measures
about 23 x 37. Oct 20, 1969 at Fillmore East, New York, NY.
