1965 Cadillac Calais
The 1965 Cadillac Calais is named after the French port city of Calais that overlooks the narrowest point in the English channel. The Calais was the new entry level Cadillac for 1965 replacing the 62 Series. The new Calais was designed to do away with the fins and the large amount of chrome that Cadillac had utilized since the 1950's. The Calais has a square shape, cleaner form, and for the first time the head lights were stacked vertically. The standard 429 cubic inch engine produces 340 horsepower.
Beautiful color, people always comment on the pretty the color of the car. this Cadillac draws a lot of attention.
Excellent condition. The body is in great shape. The factory interior is very clean as well. Interior color nicely compliments the exterior color.
Runs extremely well. I have taken many trips during my ownership including to Syracuse Nationals, Lake George Nationals, and to Hemmings in Vermont.
Lots of power. The engine is strong, the transmission shifts smoothly, this car is a dream to drive.
No rust on the body.
